Moscow, Russia – Jack Rosen, Chairman of the American Council for World Jewry has issued the following statement on U.S.-Russia relations:
“Last week, the ‘123’ agreement on civilian nuclear cooperation entered effect between the United States and Russia. This will facilitate important partnerships and further move the world away from a strategic reliance on nuclear weapons.

Moscow, Russia – The American Council for World Jewry and the Moldovan Jewish Congress today signed a cooperation agreement. American Council Chairman Jack Rosen said: Mr. Rosen said: “Beginning early in 2011, we will conduct joint outreach to our respective governments, with Moldovan partners accompanying us to Washington and the Council joining them to meet the new Moldovan government as soon as it has been formed. Within Europe and in the United States, we need to increase the support for Jewish communities worldwide and for Israel’s legitimate security needs – by working together. Iran and others are not waiting, and neither can we.”

The American Council for World Jewry has endorsed President Obama's call for expeditious Senate ratification of the New START Treaty which renews the binding agreement first forged by President Ronald Reagan and Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev.
